STM48 is a sister group of AKB48, it is located in Saitama, in Saitama City with its theater located in Cocoon City Mall.
The team was formed on May 5, 2014 with 20 members. As of 2018, their are a total of 41 members split between 4 generatins and 1 draft generation. Theire are three teams; Team SIII, Team TIV, and Team MIII.

On October 13, it was STM48 was announced with its auditions currently being held, the winners would be announced in the new year.
2014
On May 5, the first generation was announced with its 20 starting members. All 20 girls were split between the three teams.
